The driver killed in a police pursuit was part of a crew breaking into cars near the Palace of Fine Arts, the San Francisco Police Officers Association claims. One person was killed and another injured when their vehicle crashed while fleeing law enforcement, San Francisco police said Saturday. The vehicle, which was wanted in connection with an armed robbery and auto burglaries, was spotted about 4 p.m. by officers assigned to the Tenderloin Station, police said. The driver allegedly fled before officers could stop it, and they gave chase.
