A suspected auto burglary thief was killed and another hospitalized Saturday afternoon after a crash in San Francisco, police said. Shortly after 4 p.m., officers observed a vehicle that police said was wanted in connection with an armed robbery and an unspecified number of auto burglaries. The driver allegedly sped away while officers were preparing to stop the vehicle. Officers pursued the vehicle onto a highway, police said in a statement Saturday night. The vehicle crashed into an unspecified 'fixed object' near the Paul Street off-ramp from Highway 101 at San Bruno Avenue and Mansell Street, police said.
